Simon Bolton is a British photographic artist and photographer with over 35 years of professional experience spanning photojournalism, commercial photography, and contemporary fine-art practice. His work has been recognised internationally, receiving honours at the International Photography Awards in 2020 and 2021 for both his NHS commissions and personal photographic work. In 2024, his artwork Three of Wands was selected by Saatchi Art for its prestigious Best of 2024 Collection, celebrating 120 of the year's outstanding original artworks. Simon is currently represented in the United Arab Emirates by ART MONKEY / ARTÉ PLUS Gallery, Dubai.
Throughout his career, Simon has created compelling visual narratives for publications including The Daily Telegraph, NME, and The BMJ, while undertaking commissions for leading brands and organisations such as IKEA, Toyota, Virgin Media, Asda, Sainsbury's, The National Lottery, the NHS, and the Home Office.
Today, his artistic practice combines photography with digital image construction, creating contemplative works that explore landscape, symbolism, perception, and the relationship between the natural world and inner experience. Inspired by nature, intuitive symbolism, and themes of transformation, his images invite viewers to slow down, reflect, and engage with visual spaces that exist between observation and imagination.
