This image is award winning IPA 'One shot' from 2020.

Manhatton Bridge Brooklyn, NYC , This inspired by famous movie still from 'Once Upon A Time In America', the movie still is one of those iconic images of the 1980's that inspired me to become a photographer.

Travelling to New York I researched the particular bridge I concluded that its was the George Washington Bridge. Wandering over Brooklyn Bridge to my amazement I came across The Manhattan Bridge the very same scene from the movie I had watched as a teenager. Positioned and set, a kid performed these marvellous spins as I shot this image, it was such a special moment and divine timing.

If you look through the Manhatton Bridge you can see The Empire State building. The light in NYC that day was perfect for the bridge. This image was shot on a 24mm with a fixed lens.

I made this artwork as it was presented to me. I hope you feel that this work is divine as I felt whilst making it. Enjoy Simon Bolton
